Your Impact

Where Your Money Goes

We're a lean, volunteer-run program. Each session costs about $300, and every dollar goes directly to students.

📚

Books

Every student receives their own copy of our current read to keep. We choose titles featuring diverse characters, brave protagonists, and stories that open new worlds.

🔬

STEM & Craft Supplies

Coding kits, art supplies, science materials, seeds for herb gardens: the hands-on project materials that make every session come alive and connect books to the real world.

📦

Mailed Packages

We ship everything directly to each student before every session: books, supplies, and materials. The postage alone is part of what makes SPARKS magical. Opening the box is half the fun.

When she started she seemed very shy on the zoom. She did not want to unmute and talk for the first several meetings. Eventually, she opened up and by the last one, she wouldn't stay muted. She loved each book that she read - she enjoys reading, but also enjoys rereading books she's already read instead of branching out for new books. This club helped her start branching out. Thank you :)
